About South West Speech Therapy

At South West Speech Therapy, we support children and families across Clapham, Battersea, Wandsworth and the surrounding areas.

We understand that concerns about your child’s communication can feel uncertain and overwhelming, and our aim is to provide clarity, reassurance and practical support.

Our Approach

We know children flourish when learning is fun! That’s why we take a play-based, child-centred approach, working closely with parents to support each child’s communication in a way that feels achievable and meaningful.

We focus on:

  • Understanding your child’s individual strengths and needs

  • Explaining things clearly, without jargon

  • Giving you practical strategies to use in everyday life

The partnership between parents and therapist is crucial to our work. Goals are jointly decided, ensuring effective, tailored intervention which is relevant to your little learner.

  • Emma Pomroy

    CLINICAL LEAD

HIGHLY SPECIALIST SPEECH & LANGUAGE THERAPIST

Hi I’m Emma, a Highly Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist.

I ADORE what I do. I truly feel that effective communication skills are crucial to a happy and healthy life. What is more important that being able to express when you’re hurt, or telling someone you love them?! Working with families and helping their children express their needs, ideas and feelings is such a gift. The fact that this is done through the medium of play makes it even better!

Outside of work, you can find me running along the thames…usually to find a spot for coffee or wine!

  • Sioban Zacharek

    SPECIALIST SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST

Hi, I'm Sioban, a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist and I have worked in both adult and children's services.

Communication is such a vital part of life, and I feel incredibly fortunate to help children find their voices and support families in this journey. Working with children is a joy, and being part of their development is a privilege.

Outside of work, I love staying active and being outdoors. Whether it's boxing in the gym or simply going for a walk, being in nature helps me recharge and stay energised!

  • Eleni Viso

    SPECIALIST SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST

Hi, I’m Eleni, a Speech and Language Therapist.

Working with children has been a dream of mine since I was a child myself, so I feel incredibly lucky to have turned that dream into reality. I believe communication is at the heart of confidence and meaningful connections, which is why I enjoy working with families to support each child’s growth.

I’m passionate about empowering children to express themselves through engaging, fun activities that encourage them to explore who they are and reach their full potential.

Outside of work, I enjoy exploring new places, spending time in nature, and dancing.

  • Louise Spurdell

HIGHLY SPECIALIST SPEECH AND LANGUAGE THERAPIST

I'm Louise, a Speech and Language Therapist.

I am passionate about my work and enjoy collaborating closely with families to support each child’s individual strengths and needs through therapy that is both effective and fun. I believe that play-based, meaningful therapy creates joyful interactions that supports the confidence to communicate.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me on a yoga mat or taking a long walk through one of London’s many green spaces. I’m also partial to a bit of karaoke - singing is great for endorphins, even if you can’t sing!

  • Rachel Gebers

    OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

I’m Rachel, a paediatric Occupational Therapist. I graduated in 2014 from the University of Cape Town and very quickly found my passion in working with children who experience the world differently, and with the parents who love them fiercely and are doing their very best in systems that often don’t meet their needs.

My clinical expertise has been shaped by extensive experience working within specialist educational settings, hospital and community settings and private practice, leading to confidence and skill in working with children with an array of developmental differences, from Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome, to Autism, ADHD and Dyspraxia. I work with children of all ages, with specific expertise in neurodivergent children and children with physical disabilities.

I believe progress happens through safety, trust, and attunement, not compliance or pressure. When children feel understood and supported, they naturally move toward growth.

RACHEL IS BASED IN OUR LONDON CLINIC ON WEDNESDAY MORNINGS.
